Fresh Jamaican East Indian Mango

East Indian – Although loved by most mango eaters, the East Indian is considered the ‘top a top’ in terms of class. As the name suggests, this strain was brought to the island by indentured labourers from India around 1845. Large, fleshy and sweet, a single East Indian can satisfy the staunchest mango lover’s appetite.

- Our mangoes vary in size, weight, and colour, as they are selected based on availability at the time of packing.
- To ensure a longer ripening period, we aim to send greener mangoes. However, if only ripe mangoes are available, we will send those that will still have enough time to travel and be consumed, arriving either ready or nearly ready to eat.

Preparation and Usage:
- Ensure your mango is ripe before consuming. The East Indian mango is best enjoyed fresh out of hand but can also be used in desserts, confectionery, and juices.

Storage:
- Store mangoes at room temperature until they ripen.
- Once ripened, refrigerate to maintain freshness.
